Children's Museum of Pittsburgh:
"How People Make Things" Website
The Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh needed a mircosite to not only spread the word about the “How People Make Things”, but also serve as a stand-alone educational piece for use in schools and other learning environments. The finished site uses Flash animation to guide the user through the various sections of the exhibit.
Important Features:
• Because video was not an option, a “video like” feel was created using still photography and studio recorded narration. On screen text was added for greater emphasis of important areas.
• Instead of building the site completely in Flash, the Flash was embedded in HTML pages to give users a chance to update their browser, or benefit from the non-Flash items on the site. |
