Justin Mastrangelo is elected to serve as President of the American Marketing Association’s Pittsburgh Chapter for 2008-09
April 21, 2008 - Justin Mastrangelo, principal and Director of Client Services for the web development firm JA Interactive, has been elected to serve as President of the Pittsburgh AMA (American Marketing Association) for 2008-09. The programming year starts this summer with three networking mixers at various downtown hot spots. Shortly after founding JA Interactive in 2003, Mastrangelo began serving the local AMA chapter on the website and communications committees.
“I’ve been a part of this organization for awhile now and I feel it’s the premiere marketing organization in Pittsburgh. Steve Wayhart, our outgoing President, has worked with the leadership team to put together some excellent programming this past year, including our first annual Marketer of the Year awards ceremony,” Mastrangelo says. “I’m really looking forward to continuing to maintain the chapter’s position as the marketing knowledge leader in the Pittsburgh area. We have many great speakers and events already lined up for the upcoming season.”
While JA Interactive and its founder have worked with other local non-profit organizations on their web strategy such as Pittsburgh Roars and Glass, Calliope and Quantum Theatre, Justin’s biggest goal for his term is to increase member involvement in the leadership team of the chapter.
“Being involved in the AMA has had tremendous impact on my business and career. I want to make sure everyone who is interested has a chance to serve on the leadership team,” commented Mastrangelo. “It doesn’t hurt we have a lot of fun volunteering too!”
The American Marketing Association, one of the largest professional associations for marketers, has 38,000 members worldwide in every area of marketing. For over six decades they have been the leading source for information, knowledge sharing and development in the marketing profession.
